01/03/2015: Angolan Vice-president and Italian ambassador discuss cooperation
Luanda - The state of the political and economic relations between Angola and Italy was analyzed this week in Luanda, in an audience that the Vice-President, Manuel Domingos Vicente, granted to the Italian ambassador, Giorgio Di Pietrogiacomo.
Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, the diplomat said that "Angola plays a key role both at regional and international level, taking into account to its seat in the UN Security Council. He said that there are some common problems such as illegal immigration and international terrorism.
The diplomat considered historic the political and economic relations between the two states and they are on a good way, stating that there is still much to be explored.
The ambassador said that it is a new time, after the conflict that hit Angola, for the cooperation relations to be developed a partnership understanding between countries with common interests. Giorgio Di Pietrogiacomo informed that it foreseen a financial support by Italy in the sectors of trade, agriculture and transports, whose amount will be defined by both parties. He invited the Angolan to visit "Expo2015", to take place in Milan from May to October this year, where Angola will participate with the major pavilion of Africa.
