23/02/2015: UNCTAD Secretary General in Angola
Luanda - The Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Mukhisa Kituyi, arrived in Luanda this Monday, where in three days he is holding working visits with local authorities, aiming for the reinforcement of cooperation between Angola and that UN body.
At Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport, the Kenyan diplomat was welcomed by senior employees of UN in Angola and high-ranked staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX).
According to his official programme, Mukhisa Kituyi will be received in audience by the Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister, Georges Rebelo Chikoti.
During his stay the UNCTAD official will hold other separate working meetings with ministers of Economy, Abrahão Gourgel, and Finance, Armando Manuel.
UNCTAD, which is governed by its 194 member States, is the United Nations body responsible for dealing with development issues, particularly international trade – the main driver of development.
