MIREX holds workshop on Middle Income Countries

Luanda - The second workshop on the Classification Process to Category of Middle Income Countries, themed "Structural Issues of the Classification Process of Angola of the Less Developed Countries: Conception, Methodology and Policies", is taking place on 23-25 February.

According to a press note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), the training is taking place under the partnership established between Angola, UNCTAD and UNDP.

This partnership aims to implement the tasks related to Classification Process of Angola to the Category of Middle Income Country.

The workshop is intended to build capacity of different governmental entities on specific aspects of the classification, so as to sensitize the interested parties to develop technical skills on the referred process and challenges of the post classification phase, its impacts and perspectives.

The opening ceremony will be chaired by the Secretary of State for Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ângela Bragança.
