Head of State defends strengthened relations with Brazil

Luanda – The Angolan president, José Eduardo dos Santos said in Luanda that the cooperation with Brazil can be strengthened by defining a mechanism for covering other areas of preferential interest for both nations.

José Eduardo dos Santos was speaking during the lunch offered at the Presidential Palace to his counterpart from Brazil, Dilma Roussef that visited Angola for 48 hours.

The president said that there are areas of cooperation with Brazil that are important like health, education, fight against famine and poverty and the partnership of mutual development.

He considered that the visit of his counterpart was a sovereign occasion to review all the agreements signed between the two countries since 1980 and foreseed the cooperation in areas like economy, science and culture.
